- Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment
- Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients
- Cooking food in a timely manner
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Modify recipes to meet needs and requests
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Order food supplies and track inventory
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Hands – on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
- Proficiency in making local and continental dishes
- HND or OND
- Punctuality
- Good communication skills
- Courteous
- Integrity
- Evidence of a culinary degree or training
- Male preferred
- 3 – 5 years experience as a Chef
