Job Description
Talents and Skills Africa is recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Fuel Handler. We are looking for disciplined, safety-conscious, and physically fit individuals to support fuel handling operations while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Successful candidates will play a key role in the safe handling, storage, transfer, and documentation of fuel while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload fuel safely in accordance with operational procedures.
- Operate fuel handling equipment efficiently and safely.
- Monitor fuel storage tanks and report abnormalities.
- Carry out routine inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Report fuel leaks, equipment faults, or safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain accurate documentation of fuel receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Keep work areas clean and organised.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Assist during fuel transfer operations.
- Properly wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE; OND is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in fuel handling, logistics, warehouse operations, or the oil and gas industry is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Willingness to work shifts where required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of discipline, integrity, and attention to detail.

- Ability to follow operational procedures accurately.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Good observational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
